The HopeWorks’ Community Engagement Coordinator II addresses the root causes of sexual and intimate partner violence in Howard County, is a voice of the agency in the community when working toward the elimination of these forms of violence, and assists community members in finding ways they can end sexual and intimate partner violence. Responsible for coordinating and implementing prevention programming in settings such as, but not limited to, community centers, businesses, schools and other human service agencies. Will be tasked with the coordination of the volunteer program, young adult programming, awareness events, and the collaboration with community partners for racial, economic, and gender justice. After-School Youth Program ESOL Teacher - Esperanza Center
This position will provide educational instruction in a classroom setting of students at the Esperanza Center@Graceland Park-O’Donnell Heights Elementary/Middle School. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing lesson plans to meet the ESOL needs of the students in the program. Duties also include student assessment, classroom management, and oversight of one to two Classroom Assistants.
Residential Services Manager - House of Ruth Maryland
The Residential Services Manager is responsible for the management of the on-site residential services including emergency Hotel placement, the Emergency Shelter, and the Extended Stay Transitional Housing Program. Shelter Residents are traumatized both by the intimate partner violence they experienced, and the sudden experience of homelessness. Families may also have unrelated trauma experiences from their lives. The on-site residential services are provided in a trauma informed environment, focused on creating a welcoming and peaceful environment, engaging and encouraging survivors under Voluntary Services and Harm Reduction program models. The Manager is responsible for ensuring the daily operations of the 84 bed building, including operations support, resident support, food service, and administrative support. The Manager works closely with the Contact Center Manager, Clinical Services Manager, and Service Coordination Manager to support residents in achieving their stability and safety goals.

Abuser Intervention Program Facilitator - SARC
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for facilitating structured group meetings for men and women who abuse their partners. Counsel program participants on a regular on-going basis with the goals of exploring, understanding, and solving the problems faced by individuals who abuse their partners while holding them accountable for their actions. Develop a specific goal oriented package of counseling, skill development, and supportive services for each program participant. Provide crisis intervention, advocacy, and referrals to other social service agencies. Maintain up-to-date records on each program participant. Collect fees from clients; report accurate fee collections records. Maintain a good working relationship with outside agencies, both in Harford County and surrounding areas. Meet regularly with the Coordinator to discuss cases, procedures and problems.

The advocate works with the Baltimore City POARP attorney who represents victims primarily in Baltimore City Circuit Court, and sometimes the City District Court. The Legal Advocate staffs the office and has extensive in-person and phone contact with victims of domestic violence seeking assistance in obtaining a protective order.
Program Director, Permanent Supportive Housing - The Women's Housing Coalition
The Sexual Assault Legal Institute (SALI), a program within the Maryland Coalition Against Sexual Assault (MCASA), is seeking a legal advocate. This position provides direct services to sexual assault survivors and also assists with online communication to provide survivors with legal information. Administrative duties include assisting with grants management using a client database. SALI provides legal services to survivors of sexual violence, and training & technical assistance to others working with survivors. Legal advocates report to the SALI Managing Attorney.
