Men’s experiences of domestic violence is still largely not well understood. This training will provider an overview of coercive control and how men experience domestic violence (both in same sex and heterosexual relationships). This training will also integrate intersectional theory and practice, and the notion of “meaningful access” to deepen participants understanding of men’s experiences of domestic violence such that participants can feel more confident in assessing for men’s experiences of domestic violence. Implications for advocacy, intervention and prevention will also be addressed.
