While much work as been done to develop services for domestic violence survivors, these services can have an adverse or exclusionary effect on marginalized communities. This training will offer tips and skills to improve a provider’s ability to serve a diverse population of survivors, including development of services that encourage and support individual survivor’s particular, personal culture.

This training will provide:
- An overview of domestic violence through the lens of marginalized communities
- A discussion of how certain marginalized communities are impacted differently by violence
- Exercises to help participants recognize their own biases and perspectives
- Tips and resources for providers to develop more culturally competent, sensitive, and accessible services to underserved communities
