The Women’s Collective (TWC) CARE team provides patient-centered, collaborative care to individual women, their partners and their families from age 16 to seniors. The Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) will serve our target population that includes HIV-positive and individuals at high risk for HIV with mental health and/or substance use disorders. The LICSW will provide the clients with the necessary Psychiatric services to assure optimal health outcomes; this includes field based assessments, diagnosis, evidence-based psychotherapy, and assessment-based treatment plans, using the modalities of individual, conjoint (couples), and family therapy with individuals, couples, and families living with HIV/AIDS and possible co-morbidities.
Additionally, the LICSW will provide field and office based mental health counseling and psychosocial assessments for people with HIV/AIDS or at high risk who have a history of homelessness, substance use and/or mental health illness. The LICSW will use strengths-based wellness, resilience and recovery models in conceptualizing the health and healthcare of consumers. BHS clinicians are expected to be flexible in function and role; able to effectively adapt in a fast-paced, non-traditional clinical setting using developmentally and culturally sensitive best practices.
