The Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault Mobile Advocate (Mobile Advocate)works with survivors of domestic violence and/or sexual assault who access Doorways’ programs or services. The Mobile Advocate utilizes a trauma-informed approach to ensure safety and basic needs are met for survivors in Doorways’ satellite shelter locations, and serves as point-of-contact for those facilities. In times of high demand, this position serves and supports staff at the domestic violence Safehouse providing coverage, support to shelter clients, and hotline response. This position also provides outreach and education around Doorways services and the topics of domestic violence and/or sexual assault. The Mobile Advocate provides hospital accompaniment services during business hours, as well as supporting short-term case management needs for survivors accessing forensic exams. The position is full-time and requires flexible work hours including some evenings and occasional weekends and holidays. On call duties are assigned to this role. This position reports to the Client Services Counselor.
