Housing Advocacy for DV Service Providers

The Right to a Roof:
Housing Advocacy for DV Service Providers

This training is designed to inform DV service providers on the federal fair housing protections, 2013 VAWA implementation in housing, and current fair housing trends and how they can be used to promote DV survivors’ access to housing. The  presentation  covers what constitutes housing discrimination and the federally and  local protected classes as well as recent HUD guidance. It also provides an outline  of the housing  protections for survivors of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and  stalking outlined in the 2013 reimplementation of VAWA.
