Criminal Injuries Compensation Board (CICB) is a way for crime victims (including domestic violence victims who have obtained a protective order or whose abusers have been charged with crimes against them) to obtain reimbusements for out-of-pocket expenses such as medical expenses, counseling, lost wages, and support if the victim is/was dependent on their abuser.

Family Justice Centers (FJCs) are made up of multiple community services that share the same convenient location. There are currently two in Maryland:

Maryland Coalition Against Sexual Assault (MCASA) represents the sexual assault programs in Maryland. They provide advocacy, education, outreach, and technical assistance.

Maryland Crime Victim’s Resource Center (MCVRC) provides information on victim’s rights and resources, including VINE. Their phone number is 1-877-VICTIM-1 (1-877-812-8461).

Maryland Health Care Coalition Against Domestic Violence provides information on domestic violence screening and policy guidelines within the health care field.

Maryland Judiciary Administrative Office of the Courts Dept. of Family Administration has information about the courts and court resources, including peace and protective order forms.

MDCSL is a website where you can search for referrals and programs in Baltimore and throughout Maryland.

VINE Maryland (Victim Information & Notification Everyday) offers information about offenders, including court dates and status of release.

VINE Protective Order (VPO) offers information about whether or not protective and peace orders have been served on the respondent (abuser).

Women’s Law Center of Maryland provides legal resources and information in multiple areas of law, including domestic violence, family law, and child custody.
